Fellow Native American Artist/ Las Vegas as Artistic Muse

Since living here for about  a year, I’ve come across this artist named Landis Bahe, who is Navajo, and spoke to him once during a previous Las Vegas’ First Friday event.  He definitely has a contemporary style to his artwork though his themes appear highly traditional and have characters I’ve come across before in other Native art pieces and in actual ceremonies.  He is a nice guy and is also a tattoo artist as well. His facebook is:

Also a magazine I try to read every week is the Las Vegas Weekly, the issue which came out on May 8-14, 2014 had on the cover “The Art of Las Vegas.” The story included interviewing four contemporary artists who live in Las Vegas and how their respective artwork had been impacted by living in this unique city and/ or destination.
